We started by meticulously studying the ingredients in the existing lash extension shampoo market to determine where irritation continues to occur. One of the main products found to be the source of irritation is a chemical called PEG, aka Polyethylene Glycols. This ingredient is widely used in soaps and cosmetics for the purpose of creating a more desirable texture, and an easier “clean” to the subject. While this can be a good ingredient to add for the sake of marketability, it can also be a large source of the burning sensation you feel while washing your lashes. We opted to remove this ingredient and replace it with a healthier and more raw ingredient that will give you the same desired texture and emulsifying experience, without the negative side-effects. This difference in our formula is just one example of ingredients either removed and/or added to dramatically improve your experience while enhancing your results and comfort.

The second clinical evaluation we had PURE undergo was the ophthalmological safety of use for an eyelash cleanser. The project was carried out according to the protocols that are met with the HRIPT or and also with good clinical practices. Ophthalmologist tested products involve comprehensive clinical product testing to verify compatibility and ensure there is no adverse reactions or harm to the eye. The ophthalmologist concluded there was no irritation or reported irritations to the area of application. The product is safe for its intended use around the delicate eye area.
