Best Lash Extension Tweezers: A PLA Guide

As a lash artist, we are often flooded and overwhelmed by the amount of lash brands and products, the conflicting opinions and recommendations, and trying to find the best products in a sea of options… finding the best lash extension tweezers is no different. Have you ever asked yourself, Google, or your lash bestie what are the best lash extension tweezers? Same! We totally understand the struggle and the deepest form of obsession when you find the tweezer that changes your lash extension game!

That being said, what’s the actual answer here? Which lash tweezers are REALLY the best ones?

The short answer? There is no such thing as the BEST lash tweezers.

The long answer? Every tweezer is made differently and for different purposes. The tweezers that your lash bestie prefers may not be the best option for you individually.

So what sort of variables might you run into anyways? Lash extension tweezers are lash extension tweezers right? Let me show you some things that could make your tweezer preference different than your lash friend’s…

  1. Are you right handed or left handed?
  2. Do you mainly work with handmade or ProMade fans?
  3. Do you pinch, fan on the strip, tension release, use the blooming cup, use a sticky dot, or another fanning method?
  4. What about how many fingers you like to have on your lash extension tweezer?
  5. Do you prefer to hold your lash tweezer like a pencil or a dart?
  6. What about the size of your hand?
  7. Do you lash on a recliner or a lash bed?
  8. Do you prefer a straight, 35, 45, 55, or 90 degree lash tweezer?
  9. Do you prefer a long tip or short tip?
  10. Do you lash on the back of your hand or lash on a tile?
  11. What kind of tweezer grip works best for your technique?

There are SO many beautiful differences in lash techniques that lead us to a similar and unique end result. The tools a lash artist needs to get to that end look is completely different per artist and is all preference.

Now, there are some lash tweezers that will serve an artist better than another. Here are a few great tips based on how you work and what techniques you love:

If you work on a bubble, on the strip, or work with mainly ProMade fans, you would want to look for a tweezer with a full closure and no particular sweet spot. A traditional boot style tweezer would work better for you. One like our P3 - Boot Volume Lash Tweezers.

If you are working with a tension release technique, pinching, or the blooming cup, you could find that a flexible tip tweezer with a sweet spot is preferable. Like our Ultimate Volume Lash Extension Tweezers.

If you mainly work with ultra fine diameters, a slatted or diamond grip tweezer would pick up the lashes better. A lash tweezer like our P11 - Extreme Volume Lash Tweezers.

If you work with larger diameters, a fiber tip grip would work best. Our F10 - Fiber Tip 90 Degree Boot Tweezers are an example of ones we love.

If you work off the back of your hand, a 45, or 55 degree tweezer might be best for ergonomics. Our P1 - 45 Degree Volume Lash Tweezers are a great option!

If you work on a tile, a 90 degree tweezer might be best. Our P0 is a 90 degree lash tweezer that feels great in hand and still has a flexible tip.

There is no one size fits all in the lash industry for any technique, product, or tool. That’s the beauty of the lash industry! We get to create the art from the eye and hands of the artist!

Our advice for you if you are looking to try a new lash extension tweezer? Save money by not blindly listening to recommendations or shopping from your favorite lash influencer’s instagram page. Make a list of what aspects in a lash extension tweezer you have tried, what you like, and what you dislike. Eventually you will narrow down a very specific list so you can shop with a strategy and hopefully love the first lash extension tweezer you order!

Good luck on your tweezer hunt! How exciting!
