Hey there, lash pros! I’m Ashley Gonzalez, and I’m honored to share my journey with you as the Lead Educator at PLA. My passion for lash extensions goes beyond creating stunning lashes – my heart is dedicated to giving back to my community of diverse beauty professionals, like yourself, eagerly building a business doing something you love.
From Lash Artist To Lash Educator At Paris Lash Academy
My journey in the lash industry began with a spark of curiosity that quickly ignited into something bigger than I ever could have dreamed of. I remember my early days doing my best to figure it out on my own. There were very limited educational resources available for a struggling new lash tech. I spent countless hours, days, and months learning from trial and error. My experience was frustrating, and at times I felt hopeless, but it inspired me to make a promise to myself to one day pay it forward by uplifting others on their lash journey.
As my career progressed, I held many different positions in the industry. I started as a traveling artist, then worked on a team in a salon. After that, I took clients from my home salon before opening my first lash company. Eventually, I became a nationally recognized lash educator and started my own lash supply product line! Lately, my career has focused on delivering cutting-edge courses at industry events like The LashConference (LashCon), International Beauty Shows (IBS), and many other professional beauty expos. With a professional background as diversified as mine, you can imagine the stories I can share and the lessons I have learned that will help save you from years of mistakes and headaches!
Why I Joined PLA’s Team Of Beauty Professionals
PLA’s commitment to community and education resonated deeply with me. That was the driving force behind my move to Reno, Nevada. I wanted to join in leveling up the industry one artist at a time. As a trusted resource for affordable lash extension supplies and training, PLA’s mission aligned perfectly with my personal values. I’m honored to lead our comprehensive lash training academy, where I get to use my strengths as a lash nerd and female enthusiast to empower aspiring lash artists with the tools and knowledge they need to succeed. Whether it’s through our online lash courses, in-person workshops at events, or interactive livestreams on social media, I’m dedicated to fostering a supportive environment where any and all artists can thrive and grow their lash business.
